Farr Festival has quietly been going about its business for the best part of nine years now, and throughout its lifetime, has consistently established itself as a champion of low-key and up-and-coming electronic music. Across its history, Farr Festival has played host to a catalogue of now-established artists, from Booka Shade, Floating Points and Bicep, to NAO, Andrew Weatherall and Daniel Avery. And with the ninth edition of the event, Farr looks set to push the boat out even further, blurring the lines between underground DJs and established innovators, celebrating an even broader spectrum of music than before.

Musically, Farr Festival 2018 is just about the strongest electronic festival lineup released so far this year, with a vast array of sounds, genres and movements catered to. Kicking off proceedings with a Thursday night headline slot is Jacques Green who brings a live rendition of his dark heavy electronica, and hot off the back of their celebrated third album Love What Survives, James Blake/King Krule-collaborators Mount Kimbie head up the bill on the Friday night. Maribou State also return to the festival circuit following a quiet year by their standards in 2017, they take care of headline duties on Saturday alongside Dixon, while Sunday’s artists are still yet to be announced.

Also in attendance and booked in for Farr 2018, are Caribou-frontman Dan Snaith, performing under DJ moniker Daphni, the always-reliable junglist pioneer Shy FX, a must-see live set from George Fitzgerald, and a rare outing from the elusive Moodyman. DJ Stringray, Radio 1’s Benji B, Tom Misch, and Young Marco, all promise unmissable outings as well.

Farr Festival takes place on the first weekend of July, running for four days from 5th-8th, tickets are available to buy now via the Farr website
