the west review: 2014 – 2023

Today it’s with a heavy heart that I finally draw a line under The West Review. I’ve been very proud to share my thoughts, feelings, musings and opinions on the world of music for nearly 10 years now, but now feels like the time to officially sign things off.

The West Review has been a full time hobby and passion project, one that deserves much more love and attention than I can give it anymore. I haven’t been able to contribute to it as much as I would like over the last year, and rather than let it fade away into obscurity, I want to give it a final, official send off. For my own sense of nostalgia I’ll keep the site and all its posts up for the foreseeable, but there won’t be any new articles or features.

There’s been some incredible highlights throughout the lifespan of my cherished side-hustle. From calling Sigma out on their bullshit and exchanging heated tweets, to being featured on Chance The Rapper’s Wikipedia, even rubbing shoulders and sharing stages with the musical elite. I’ve also been lucky enough to go as far as Budapest and back to Bristol, with years of support from the nightlife and festival circuit’s finest.

I’ve been truly blessed to have even one person read my ramblings, and to think that thousands of people still read my old articles even today, I do feel incredibly proud and above all, grateful.

Support from family, friends, readers, and the music industry as a whole, has truly been humbling. For every one of you that’s been a part of it, thank you. See you all front left.

Special thanks and shoutouts to all who’ve made The West Review possible, in whatever capacity:
