Today marks the 9th instalment of the Essential: mix series, and this edition is entitled Electro Rap. Electronic music and hip-hop have somewhat surprisingly been a match made in heaven over the years with big-name DJs enlisting guest spots from rap stars, as well as electronic producers such as Diplo being integral to the transitional blend of the two genres.
