El Dorado Festival is a fresh-faced new festival organised by infamous party-planners Cirque Du Soul. Following its inaugural year in 2016, in which boasting acts such as Basement Jaxx, Kano, and Craig David, El Dorado looks set to return once again in 2017, returning with over 80 different live acts and DJs. Tipped as an ‘intimate and enchanting boutique festival’, El Dorado promises to celebrate each corner of the arts, promoting a multitude of acrobatics, arts and crafts, performances, and of course music.

El Dorado is a three-day camping festival situated at the picturesque setting of rural Herefordshire, more specifically, at the historic Eastnor Castle. To compliment the festival’s surroundings and location, El Dorado has once again brought its a-game, with some of electronic music’s most in-demand names. This is no more epitomised by legendary headliners, and all-round electro pioneers Groove Armada, who’s unrivalled DJ sets continue to set benchmarks.

As well as Groove Armada, acts of equal status within its respective genres, are hip-hop heavyweights The Sugarhill Gang, legendary junglist Shy FX, and dub champions Channel One Soundsystem. Expect some unmissable outings from the likes of Zak Abel, renowned high-octane performers Gentleman’s Dub Club, the Grammy-nominated Hot 8 Brass Band, and one of the grime scene’s most exciting new prospects- AJ Tracey. Live performances aside, El Dorado is also boasting an impressive range of DJ sets, including the ever-rising house honchos Dusky, the always heavy-hitting My Nu Leng, garage mainstays Artful Dodger, and the always-reliable Redlight.

El Dorado is shaping up to becoming one of the most exciting new festivals of the last few years. Immediately bursting onto the scene with a stellar lineup last year, this year’s festival has evidently followed in suite. Lineup aside, El Dorado also offers something of a niche vibe, with boutique-meets-bass complimented by a intoxicating rural setting. And what’s more, and perhaps most importantly, El Dorado is one of the most affordable music events in the calendar, with a three-day ticket including camping yours for under £100.
