In just a matter of days, 22 to be exact, the world-famous Arcadia spider descends on London’s Olympic Park for the event specialists’ tenth anniversary celebrations. Set to perform across the two-day event are electronic pioneers Leftfield, Sven Vath, Dusky, DJ sets from Noisia and Rudimental, as well as an extensive showcase from RAM Records among many others.
While we’re all too familiar with the extent of the music/performance/visual/production spectacle that is the spider, it’s Arcadia’s brand new Reactor stage which is also something to get worked up about.
Specially devised for the tenth anniversary celebrations, and a brand new addition to the Arcadia phenomena, The Reactor is an immersive 360 experience of lights, sound and performance. Boasting a groundbreaking new laser system designed especially for The Reactor’s hexagonal design, expect complete absorption from the outside world, as an indoor arena offering complete darkness from lunchtime until late. Also be on the look at for the trademark Arcadia acrobatic performances, with an extensive array of gravity-defying feats occurring overhead whilst the baselines pump, and the lights astound.
Set to perform within The Reactor on May 5th, are the always-reliable Eats Everything, unmissable outings from Boys Noize and Paul Woolford, as well as a special live set from Matador. On Sunday 6th, Andy C’s world-renowned drum and bass label RAM Records take care of proceedings, with an extensive selection of dnb specialists. Expect to see the likes of Delta Heavy, the newly-reformed Bad Company, Culture Shock, Calyx & Teebee, and Rene LaVice to name a few.
