This weekend at fabric

Where: Farringdon, London
Who: Dillinja, Randall, Kiasmos, Grooverider, Benny L, Fideles
As we all welcome in the new year, and with festivals still a world away, venues around the country are midway through their busy winter schedules. And at fabric, one of the world’s most celebrated clubs, it’s of course no different.
With a history of catering to all manner of musical movements, traditionally with bass-heavy genres on Fridays, and lighter offerings of house and techno on Saturdays, this weekend is among fabric’s many unmissable weekends.

Friday: Jungle Mania x Audioporn x Visionobi Presents
Landing in Farringdon this Friday (11th) are some of drum & bass and jungle’s most pioneering figureheads. Heading up room one is Dillinja, with room two boasting Metalheadz’s Randal at the top of the bill – expect a tarade of breaks and beats in typical jungle fashion.
Grooverider, Kenny Ken, Nicky Blackmarket and of course, Brockie are among room 1’s many highlights, alongside The Vanguard Project, T>I and Bou. GQ, Navigator, Ragga Twins and Visionobi support on the mic.
After rightfully scooping up Best Newcomer at the DnB Awards, Benny L is our event highlight, who returns to fabric following a huge year thanks to megahits Sharks and his Police in Helicopter bootleg.
.
Saturday: Kiasmos (DJ Set)
Kiasmos are among the most forward-thinking electronic producers on the scene right now. Comprised of BAFTA Award-winning composer Olafur Arnalds, and the more electronically-minded Janus Rasmussen, the duo blur the lines between vast cinematic instrumentation and intricate techno beats.
Vast strings and dramatic chords, dainty pianos and floaty synths sit next to hard-hitting bass and percussive production, to create a sound that’s as peaceful as it is intense.
With Arnalds currently touring the world with his solo show, selling out The Royal Albert Hall in the process, the duo’s acclaimed live shows have been shelved for now, leaving Rasmussen to continue the Kiasmos legacy via DJ sets. Expect much of the pair’s celebrated discography to descend on fabric this Saturday, with support from Fideles and Yacine Dessouki.
Tickets for both these events can still be yours by heading to the fabric website
