Hospitality, Motion
When: 9th March
Where: Motion, Bristol
Who: Camo & Krooked, S.P.Y, Kings of The Rollers, London Elektricity
Hospitality and Motion were reunited once again over the weekend (9th March), for another welcomed takeover in Bristol. Camo & Krooked and S.P.Y lead proceedings with headline DJ sets, while Kings of The Rollers hosted room 2 with a Royal Rumble takeover. Danny Byrd, London Elektricity, Etherwood, and a number of exclusive b2b sets support, with Dynamite MC, Inja, SP:MC and Tempza on the mics.
The night began disappointingly, with an administrative oversight on Motion’s behalf resulting in our names not being on the guestlist – the doorman ensured us it was indeed the club’s fault. It meant we missed what was anticipated as the highlight of the night – Nu:Tone b2b Logistics b2b Makoto.
Disappointing to say the least, but once finally in, Kings of The Rollers soon made us forget about standing in the rain for an hour. With the undisputed energy of Inja on the mic, it’s clear to see why the MC’s rapid ascent up the DnB food chain is completely justified.
Besides Inja, MC duties were somewhat disappointing across the night, with Dynamite and Texas particularly underwhelming on the night. London Elektricity and S.P.Y didn’t quite reach the same heights of their explosive sets at Printworks earlier this year. A solid night of DnB, despite a few disappointments.
